Symbols of Status

To refine my typography and layout skills in my spare time, I turned my first class dissertation into a thoughtfully designed book. ‘Symbols of Status’ explores how logos and visual branding shape the perception of luxury in the fashion industry. It questions why consumers are drawn to high price points and how brands use their identity to create a sense of desirability and prestige. Visually, the book references the aesthetics of the luxury fashion industry: a neutral colour palette, refined typography and a custom monogram pattern. This project allowed me to fully combine my strengths in both writing and editorial, resulting in an outcome that feels personal and rewarding.
